When my baby made her arrival a couple of weeks early, Pooka made herself available same-day & picked up my placenta within a couple hours of us reaching out.
She was incredibly warm, professional, & thorough in explaining her services & making sure we were comfortable with our selections.

We used Pooka as both a pregnancy/birth doula and postpartum (overnight) doula and we can't say enough good things about her. She is caring, warm, and confident, and she makes you feel comfortable around her immediately. She stayed with me and my husband through my long, difficult labor which ultimately ended in an emergency c-section, and I am SO happy we had her support through this emotional experience. She provided constant, hands-on support and encouragement during labor as well as helped us navigate time-sensitive medical decisions, all while putting my health and well-being first. Pooka was great. Before the birth, my wife and I met with Pooka twice, and she has great material (checklists, plans, etc.) that helped us get prepared for the delivery. Pooka was absolutely awesome in the delivery. She answered her phone at 1:45 am, she brought me breakfast and coffee, and she was so incredibly supportive for my wife. Her bedside manner is calming, positive, and encouraging, and she was so helpful with both the little and big things around the delivery room. It's weird how there's this person that shares this really intimate moment with me and my wife, and after our delivery it's hard to imagine anyone other than Pooka being that person.
